Late last year many farmers rushed to till and sow when rain started only to lose their investment due to drought which followed. How I wish more and more farmers would embrace weather prediction apps. The information is always there but few choose to believe it. Building an App is very involving and expensive. Free diabetes & hypertension screening at Ngong — community healthcare in action
Today we partnered with Ngong Sub County Hospital to screen residents — prevention is power.
Today we partnered with Ngong Sub County Hospital team led by Dr. Faith, MCA Mbiriri, MCA Eli Gor, Sub County Admin Muchiri and many well-wishers to conduct a free diabetes and hypertension screening in Ngong town.
The disease prevalence in Kenya is about 4.5% overall with higher rates in urban centres. Diabetes and hypertension are manageable with proper diet, consistent medication, and increased physical activity. Early detection saves lives — and reduces long-term treatment costs.
Let's support prevention through community screening and education — every test and every conversation matters.
